2 Davao jail guards charged for jailbreak

MANILA, Philippines — Two Davao City jail guards were slapped administrative cases for a jailbreak by four inmates last weekend, a radio report said Tuesday. Radio dzBB's Davao affiliate reported that while three of the four inmates had been recaptured, Davao City police chief Sr. Supt. Ramon Apolinario scored the laxity of the two guards. Charged administratively were PO1 Archibald Celis and desk officer on duty SPO2 Joel Banosan. The four inmates escaped by sawing off the iron grills of their detention cell. - GMANews.TV
