Tornado kills baby in Pampanga - report

A seven-month-old girl was killed last Saturday when a tornado hit a town in Pampanga province, a television report said Monday. QTV’s Balitanghali reported that Moana Marie Pabustan was killed when her hammock was carried away by strong winds and fell 10 meters away from her house in San Luis town. The report said Pabustan’s hammock was attached to the roof, which was also blown away by the tornado. The hammock hit an electric post before falling off a cemented dike, according to the report. Pabustan was taken to a nearby hospital where she eventually died.

On Sunday, another tornado hit four towns in adjacent Bulacan province, leaving three people hurt and about P1 million in damages, a separate Balitanghali report said. Affected by the tornado were Bocaue, Balagtas, Baliuag and Guiguinto. - GMANews.TV
