The driver of a passenger bus that figured in an accident on Monday has turned himself in to the police and insisted that he did not escape. According to a radio report of dzBB on Wednesday, Pepito Santuele, the driver of the Eagle Star bus, said he even helped some of the 39 passengers injured in the incident. No one was reported killed. "Nagpagamot ako (I just went to have my injuries treated)," Santuele said, when asked why he disappeared after the accident. However, according to dzBB, the police learned that Santuele had no driver's license and had already figured in a road accident in March 2010. The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said the bus driven by Santuele (with plate number TXP 443, and body number 525) was traveling from Ormoc to Manila along an old zigzag road when it fell into a ravine. An NDRRMC report on Monday said the bus was carrying 57 passengers at the time of the incident near Camp Trining in Sitio Amao, Silangang Malicboy in Pagbilao, Quezon. Among those injured were:
