Amid transport strike, DepEd suspends classes in CDO
Amid a threat of a transport strike there, the Department of Education (DepEd) announced early on Monday that classes in Cagayan de Oro (CDO) City have been suspended. On its Twitter account, the DepEd said while classes in CDO are suspended, those in Metro Manila are not. "Classes in Cagayan de Oro suspended today, September 19," the DepEd said. "There is no suspension in Metro Manila. So far, class suspension is only in Cagayan de Oro," the DepEd added. The DepEd supervises schools at the preschool, elementary and high school levels.
