Police recover 400 kg of metals stolen from Mariveles power plant

MARIVELES, BATAAN- The police arrested three men and recovered from them 400 kilograms of assorted metals that they allegedly stole on Sunday night from a Chinese-owned power plant being constructed in Alas-Asin, Mariveles, Bataan.   Supt. Joel Tampis, Mariveles police chief, identified the suspects as dump truck driver Jose de Mesa II, 33, of San Carlos and helpers Francisco Bielsa, 33 and Nelson Bernardez, 36, of Alas-Asin; all in Mariveles town.   Police said Benjamin Yunzaga, security officer of King Star Agency, turned over the three suspects after finding the assorted metals worth P20,000 in the suspects' dump truck at 12:00 p.m.   Appropriate charges are being readied against suspects, Tampis said. - Ernie Esconde, VVP, GMA News
