University president shot dead in Zambo City

The president of the Universidad de Zamboanga was shot dead Sunday by unidentified men in Zamboanga City, police said.   Arturo Eustaquio III, 63, died while undergoing surgery for the gunshot wound he sustained while driving his motorcycle in Barangay Sta. Maria at 1 p.m. Sunday, Zamboanga City police director Senior Superintendent Edwin de Ocampo said.   The still unidentified gunmen used a .45 caliber pistol to shoot Eustaquio and fled using a motorcycle to an unknown location after the incident, he added.   De Ocampo said local authorities are still determining the motive behind the shooting while police are tracking the killers. - Andreo C.
