Cops analyze contents of hard drives of seized Aman computers

Police have started analyzing the contents of hard drives from computers seized by irate victims of a multibillion-peso pyramiding scam in Mindanao.

 

Forensic experts from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group are expected to issue an initial report on their findings within Monday, radio dzBB reported.

 

The hard drives were from the central processing units (CPUs) taken by victims of the Aman Futures Group Philippines Inc. in Pagadian City, the same radio report said.

 

Authorities are building a case against officials of Aman Futures amid allegations they fleeced thousands of their money and life savings.

 

The report said the police in Region 9 have also started analyzing videos showing the firm's investors and officials.

 

 

A part of one of the videos of Zambotimes.com was aired Sunday night on GMA News' 24 Oras, showing some Aman investors giving rice to Pagadian City residents.

 

The 24 Oras report quoted police as saying they are encouraging the public to send in videos so they can identify the firm's officers and gain added evidence in their case buildup. — RSJ, GMA News
