Young girl found naked, brutally killed in Kawit, Cavite

Police in Cavite province are investigating the death of a young girl whose body was found naked in Kawit town Wednesday.

 

The girl was aged between 8 and 12, and was found near a pond at Fatima Road in Barangay Congbalay in Kawit, radio dzBB reported early Thursday.

 

A rope was seen tied around her neck while there were indications she was blindfolded and gagged, the report added.

 

Local police have subjected the victim's body to analysis to determine if she was sexually assaulted.

 

The local police have also started coordinating with counterparts in other parts of Cavite to check if there were children who may have been reported missing.

 

They are also not discounting the possibility the assailants may have been high on drugs when they killed the girl. — ELR, GMA News
