NDRRMC: 12 of 47 Bohol towns still without power
(Updated 9:57 a.m.) At least 12 of 47 towns in Bohol province are still experiencing power outages following a devastating magnitude-7.2 quake that struck Central Visayas Tuesday.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, in its 6 p.m. Thursday update, said power supply may be restored in "one to two days."
It also said the damage caused by Tuesday's quake reached P563.66 million as of Thursday evening.
The NDRRMC said this included roads, bridges and flood control facilities in Cebu and Bohol, two areas hit hardest by the quake.
Of the amount, Bohol sustained P546.01 million in damage, while Cebu sustained P17.65 million in damage.
Early Friday morning, the NDRRMC said the death toll rose to 171 – 159 were from Bohol, 11 from Cebu and one from Siquijor.

At least 375 were injured while 20 are still missing. All 20 missing are from Bohol, the NDRRMC added.
The quake affected 676,065 families or 3,426,718 people in 1,285 villages in 45 towns and seven cities in three provinces.
Of these, 20,034 families or 97,618 people are staying in 85 evacuation centers.
As of 6 p.m. Thursday, the NDRRMC said 21 bridges are still not passable while three are hardly passable in Bohol, Cebu and Negros Oriental.
It added 2,938 houses were destroyed while 16,371 were damaged.
Five roads were not passable while one was hardly passable in Bohol and Cebu, it added. — ELR/RSJ, GMA News
