NDRRMC: Typhoon Vinta causes P207.064-M damage

Typhoon Vinta (Krosa) caused at least P207.064 million in damage to infrastructure and agriculture in Northern Luzon as of Monday morning, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said.
In its 6 a.m. update, the NDRRMC said the P207,064,258.46 included P1.345 million in infrastructure and P205,719,258.46 in agriculture in Ilocos and Cagayan Valley.
Also, it said at least P1.445 million had been extended to affected families in Cagayan Valley and Cordillera as of 6 a.m. Monday.
The death toll remained at three, with one injured and two still missing.
At least 44,555 families or 220,443 people were affected in 537 villages in 39 towns and one city in five provinces of Ilocos, Cagayan Valley and Cordillera.
As of 3 p.m. Sunday, power was back in 85 percent of households in Ilocos Norte. Restoration work is still ongoing in Apayao and Cagayan.
Cagayan is still experiencing intermittent mobile phone signals. —KG, GMA News
