Phivolcs: Magnitude 5.5 quake recorded off Sultan Kudarat  

A magnitude-5.5 quake was recorded off Sultan Kudarat Thursday noon, but there was no initial report of damage or casualties.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake was recorded at 12:38 p.m., with the epicenter at 244 km southwest of Palimbang.

No damage or aftershock was expected, Phivolcs said.
