16 hurt as BJMP vehicle figures in accident in Quezon province

At least 16 people were hurt after a Bureau of Jail Management and Penology service vehicle figured in an accident in Quezon province Wednesday.
The vehicle hit a pickup truck in Pagbilao town, according to a report by GMA News stringer Peewee Bacunio on radio dzBB.

The vehicle was ferrying inmates back to a BJMP facility from a court hearing in Gumaca town.
Of the 16 injured, 10 were inmates and BJMP officers. The injured also included the drivers of the two vehicles.

While the vehicle was passing through a downward slope of the highway, its brakes reportedly failed, and it hit a pickup truck.
