2 teens brutally killed in Cavite
Police are working to solve the gruesome murder of two teenagers whose brutalized bodies were found days after they were reported missing nearly two weeks ago.
Relatives of the two victims are crying out for justice, GMA News' Marisol Abdurahman reported on "24 Oras" Monday evening.
The remains of one of the victims, a 14-year-old girl, were found inside a sack in Barangay San Antonio II in Noveleta town in Cavite on Sunday.
She bore stab wounds in the body and cheek, and bore signs of strangulation.
Noveleta police chief Senior Inspector Francisco Panisan said they learned of the location of the body after getting a text message from a concerned citizen.
"Masakit, napakasakit ho, labing-isa ang saksak bago sinakal ... Wala naman akong alam na kaaway," said the girl's father.
The girl was last seen with a male friend, also aged 14. The boy's body was found on Aug. 15 in Brgy. Sta. Rosa II in Noveleta. His body bore 20 stab wounds.
"Masakit sa akin kasi kung kailan siya naging matulungin, wala namang tumulong din sa kanya," his mother said.
Initial police investigation showed the two were last seen at the wake of a certain Augusto Lising Jr. a.k.a. Junior, one of the most wanted in Noveleta who was killed last July 31.
Police said the two may have been friends of a mortal enemy of Lising's, and that Lising's allies may have suspected the two of leading police to Lising.
Investigators said whoever killed the two bore a grudge against them. But they added that for now, it is hard to push on with the investigation as no witness has come forward to offer leads. — Joel Locsin/BM, GMA News
