Sunstar: ABB chieftain's son shot, wounded
A 19-year-old son of breakaway communist group Alex Boncayao Brigade (ABB) was shot and injured on Monday afternoon in a shooting incident in Bata village in Bacolod City. Sun-Star Bacolod reported Tuesday night that victim John Lenmark Paduano was in a drinking spree with friends when the incident occurred. Paduano's father Stephen, a.k.a. Carapali Lualhati, is the national commander of the Revolutionary Proletariat Army (RPA)-ABB. The Sun-Star report said the incident occurred in Purok Magbinuligay, Circumferential Road in Bata village, Bacolod City at 3 p.m. Monday. Initial investigation showed that the younger Paduano's group was inside the Lutong Bahay Refreshment along the highway in Purok Magbinuligay when an unidentified man shot them without any provocation using a homemade 12-gauge shotgun. John Lenmark was hit in the left thigh and upper left arm as he and his friends scampered for safety after the surprise attack. Also hit by the attack was Paul Escosura, 25, Paduano's neighbor in Purok Masinadyahon, Barangay Bata. He was hit by stray bullets in his upper right arm. The gunman fled on foot while Paduano and Escosura were rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) where they are presently confined. Police theorized that John Lenmark may have had an earlier altercation with the gunman. - GMANews.TV
