Six NPA's surrender in Bukidnon

Six members of the New People's Army (NPA) surrendered to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in San Mateo, Brgy. Indulang in Talakag, Bukidnon early Friday.
Eastern Mindanao Command spokesman Captain Alberto Caber said the NPA returness were identified as Ramil Tun-an, Yonifin Ped-Ak, Rene Tun-an, Angelo Ped-Ak, Reynaldo Ped-ak and Toto Guilay.
The returnees brought with them their firearms including a US cal. 30 M1 Garand rifle, a shotgun, a cal. 45 pistol, a 9 mm pistol and two cal. 38 revolvers.
AFP 23rd Infantry Battalion Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Lynart Castisimo said the authorities welcome the returnees back to the folds of the law under the Comprehensive Local Integration Program.
“The Comprehensive Local Integration Program under the local government units will help mainstream them back to the society which our units will be assisting the best way we can for their welfare,” Castisimo said.
The returnees are at the 23rd Infantry Battalion headquarters and will undergo an interview and documentation process. —Andrei Medina/NB, GMA News
