Laguna police arrest Dolphy grandson on drug charges

Rocco "Rocky" Quizon, the 32-year-old grandson of comedy king Rodolfo "Dolphy" Vera Quizon Sr., was arrested in Lumban, Laguna Monday evening in a police anti-drug operation, GMA 7's "24 Oras" reported.



Rocco was nabbed in a buy-bust operation, in which a Laguna police intelligence operative pretended to be buying methamphetamines, also known as shabu.

Rocco's live-in partner, Raquel Alcantara, was also arrested as investigators believed she was part of the illegal drug business.

Evidence gathered by police officers during the arrests allegedly included nine clear plastic bags of shabu.

Rocco has prior arrests: in 2010 he was also arrested for selling shabu, and in 2008 he was arrested for allegedly shooting to death a childhood friend. — Rie Takumi, GMA News
