1 killed in motorcycle-utility vehicle collision in Laoag

A tricycle driver was killed after figuring in a road accident with a utility vehicle in Laoag City in Ilocos Norte on Monday.

 

Tricycle driver Juniver Asuncion died from severe head injuries following the collision, GMA Ilocos reported.

 

"Allegedly itong tricycle pagewang-gewang," said Laoag City police traffic investigator PO2 Melmar Antonio.

 

For his part, utility vehicle driver Julito Cabiles said he tried to avoid a collision but the tricycle did not stop.

 

Cabiles said he will help shoulder the expenses for Asuncion's burial. — Joel Locsin/VC, GMA News
