4 students allegedly possessed in Cebu

Four students from a school in Argao town in Cebu province claimed to have been possessed Monday morning.

 

Two of the students said they were taking part in a ritual when spirits allegedly took control of them, GMA Cebu's Mark Anthony Bautista reported Tuesday.

 

One of the students recalled seeing demons giving him orders and threatening something may happen to his friends if he did not obey.

 

"Mga demonyo, mas marami sila sa amin, less than 500 lang kami, sila nasa thousands," he said when asked what he saw while he was "possessed."

 

A third student was reportedly possessed while praying the rosary. She said she suddenly lost consciousness.

 

She said that when she regained consciousness, she found herself inside the prayer room of the St. Michael the Archangel Church.

 

"Habang nagdarasal, parang nawawala na ako sa sarili ko, tinawag pa nga ako ng classmate ko. Tinatakpan ko na ang tenga ko, hindi ko na alam ano ang nangyari," she said.

 

But school principal and owner Lia Chavez noted the students may have been stressed and tired, as this was examination week for them.

 

Chavez also said the school has not experienced any extraordinary occurrence since it was set up.

 

"Naniniwala naman po kami na meron talaga pero huwag na lang natin silang i-provoke. Na-provoke siguro sila kaya nagkaganoon pero mas mahigit ang paniniwala namin sa Panginoon kaya nagdasal kami," she said. — Joel Locsin/VC, GMA News
