A death threat signed "Gov" and left at the house of Josie Tallado's aide is now the subject of an investigation by the police in Vinzons, Camarines Norte.
Josie Tallado is the wife of Camarines Norte Governor Edgardo Tallado. She went missing for a few days and then surfaced with the accusation that the local chief executive wanted her killed after she learned that he was having an affair.

Chief Inspector Domingo Sario Jr., acting Vinzons town police chief, said officers have tapped Scene of the Crime Operations probers to examine the note.
"'Patay ka,' sa baba may nakasulat na may signature. 'Gov' ... Agad kaming tumawag ng SOCO," Sario said, according to a report by GMA Bicol's Kaye Botastas.

The governor declined to comment on the matter, the report said.
A lawyer for Governor Tallado said the governor would focus on his job as local official and would not comment on matters that wouldn't contribute to the province's growth.
The governor on Monday apologized for the scandal caused by the incident, but warned those spreading photos of him and his alleged lover that he cold pursue legal action against them.
On Monday, unidentified persons broke into Francisco's house in Vinzons town in Camarines Norte.
Initial findings by the town police showed robbery was not the likely motive as there was nothing missing in the house.
Francisco was not in the house when the break-in occurred. It was her aunt who discovered the main door of the house was open and the kitchen window was broken. —Joel Locsin/NB, GMA News
