3 hurt as blast mars wake in Bacolod City

 

At least three people were injured after three men barged into a wake in Bacolod City last weekend and lobbed an explosive at the visitors.

 

The incident at Barangay Tangub and caused tension among the visitors, GMA Bacolod's Erwin Nicavera reported Tuesday on GMA News TV's "Balita Pilipinas Ngayon."

 

Police arrested three suspects in the incident. They were identified as Efren Buenaflor, Morin Capunong, and Penrod Calma.

 

Inspector Elmer Bonilla, OIC of the city police's Station 8, said their initial findings showed the suspects have a grudge against relatives of the deceased.

 

"Dahil naroon ang mga grupo ng mga kabataan, nagkita ang kanilang landas," he said.

 

The three suspects denied the allegations, saying they were asleep at the time the incident occurred.

 

However, police noted witnesses had positively identified them, and have lodged complaints against them for frustrated homicide. — Joel Locsin/VC, GMA News
