18-year-old mom startled by crying, throws baby to the ground

A one-year-old baby boy died after being thrown to the ground by his own mother in Cebu City.

 

But the 18-year-old mother insisted it was an accident, GMA Cebu's Bobby Nalzaro reported on "24 Oras" Wednesday.

 

The mother said she was startled by the sound of the baby crying, and dropped the child.

 

While the baby was rushed to a hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.

 

The child's grandfather is inclined to pursue charges against the mother. —Joel Locsin/NB, GMA News
