3 arrested for carjacking, killing in Misamis Oriental
Three men were arrested last weekend for forcibly taking a motorcycle and killing its 15-year-old driver in Tagoloan town in Misamis Oriental province.
Following their arrest, the three led police to the spot where they dumped the remains of their victim, GMA Northern Mindanao's Kaye Mercado reported.
Police said their investigation showed the three forcibly took the motorcycle of Rio Dolino, then stabbed him and threw his remains at Zone 7 in Barangay Sta. Cruz in Tagoloan.
The motorcycle was recovered last Nov. 4. Rio's mother made an appeal via GMA News to help find her missing son.
On Sunday, Rio's skeletal remains were found in a grassy spot after suspects Mario Macaslang, Joseph Macaslang and Gabriel Pagaling told police where they left the victim's body.
"Noong gabing 'yun naghahanap talaga kami ng masasakyan na tiyempohan talaga ang bata na yun," said Pagaling.
When asked why they committed the crime, he said, "Wala talagang trabaho, sobrang nahihirapan ba."
The three now face charges of murder and carnapping.
Meanwhile, the victim's mother Antonita angrily confronted the three for the death of her son.
"Anong kasalanan ng aking anak bakit ganon ang ginagawa nila. Labis ko siyang hinahanap three weeks na nandoon lang pala nila itinapon," she said. —Joel Locsin/KBK, GMA News
