Cops detonate old grenade found near river in Manaoag, Pangasinan

 

Police in Manaoag town in Pangasinan detonated an old grenade that was found near a river, a television report said Friday.

 

A resident found the grenade at Barangay Pantal in Manaoag town, GMA Dagupan's Alfie Tulagan reported on GMA News TV's "Balita Pilipinas Ngayon."

 

Investigation showed a man informed police about a grenade he saw near the river. Police found that while the grenade was rusty, it could still explode.

 

After a controlled detonation of the grenade, police are now shifting their efforts to finding who left the grenade near the river. — Joel Locsin/JDS, GMA News
