35 passengers rescued after 2 river boats collide in Batangas

The Philippine Coast Guard on Monday said it rescued 35 passengers after two boats they were riding collided at the Calumpang River in Batangas last weekend.
 

Citing reports, the Coast Guard said the collision occurred about 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, and involved the motor bancas Bingo and Lady Heart Kim.

 

It said "Bingo," skippered by Capt. Salvador Zulueta, had 10 passengers while "Lady Heart Kim" skippered by Capt. Hartwel Claro had 25 passengers.
