Containers of fuel inside the stockroom of a hangar for spray planes in Davao City caught fire over the weekend.

Razed were several containers of gasoline at the Old Airport in Barangay Sasa, according to a report Monday on GMA News TV's "Balita Pilipinas Ngayon"

No one was initially reported injured in the fire, which also destroyed two vehicles parked in the area.

Witnesses said they heard explosions before the fire broke out.

Initial investigation showed the hot weather at the time could have ignited the gas in the containers.

Arson investigators estimated the damage to property at P600,000. — Joel Locsin/JDS, GMA News
