Gunmen kill, rob 4 in Pangasinan massacre

Unidentified armed men shot dead a couple and their two nephews inside their own house in Asingan town in Pangasinan province Monday night. Radio station dzBB reported Tuesday morning that the incident took place at about 9 p.m. at the height of the Fiesta celebrations at Talipaan village in Asingan. The report cited initial police reports identifying the victims as Honrado Miranda, 50, and his wife lsabel, 48. Also killed were their nephews Cesar Cansino 15 and Adrian Cansino 16. Police have placed under protective custody the couple's child and a nanny whom they did not immediately identify. They said the two escaped death by hiding. lnitial investigation showed three to four men barged into the house and shot the victims before leaving on a motorcycle and a van. Police suspect robbery as the motive of the attack as the place was ransacked. - GMANews.TV
