Boy, 10, drowns in Bataan beach resort

What started as an excursion ended in a tragedy for a 10-year-old boy who drowned at a beach resort in Bataan province Monday morning. Radio dzRH reported that the boy, initially identified as Sherwin Casinas, was found floating lifeless in the water minutes after relatives discovered he was missing. Sherwin, a resident of Valenzuela City, went with his family to the beach resort in Pag-asa village in Bagac town in Bataan for a family outing. He was swimming in the water when lifeguards repeatedly told him not to venture to the deeper waters where adults were swimming. But he did not heed the warnings, and disappeared.
