NGCP: Power outage hits parts of Southern Leyte due to TS Amang

Power was interrupted in parts of Southern Leyte Saturday morning after bad weather conditions from Tropical Storm Amang (Mekkhala) affected a power line in the area.

 

The NGCP, in a 9 a.m. report, said the affected area was the Nasaug-San Isidro 69-kilovolt line, which services the SOLECO cooperative.

 

It said the franchise area covers Sogod, Liloan, and St. Bernard in Southern Leyte.

 

Citing initial information, the NGCP said the outage occurred at 11:58 p.m. Friday.
