2 bags cause bomb scare along CDO highway

Monday afternoon, two bags caused a bomb scare along a highway in Cagayan de Oro City.

 

The bags were left at the center island of the Barangay Bulua National Highway, GMA Northern Mindanao's Jeik Compo reported on Tuesday.

 

Residents became suspicious when they saw the two bags placed far from each other, and called in the police.

 

A police bomb squad cordoned off the area before inspecting the bags, which turned out to contain clothing items.

 

Bomb squad team leader SPO2 Dennis Allan Tingson said an initial check by their K-9 units turned negative.
