Fish broker loses P850K to robbers in Cagayan de Oro City

Police in Cagayan de Oro City are tracking down two men who held up a fish broker at the city's Puerto Public Market last weekend.

 

Fish broker Gina Percadal lost P850,000 in cash, jewelry and documents to the suspects last Saturday, GMA Northern Mindanao's Francis Damit reported Monday.

 

Percadal was heading for the Puerto Public market from Bulua Public Market with her merchandise when she was held up. The men then fled aboard a motorcycle, while Percadal's mother fainted and the fish dealer had to attend to her.

 

"Kung magbilang ng pera dapat magtago ng kaunti para hindi mamonitor o hindi ma-pattern na kada gabi magdala ng pera tapos doon lang palagi dumaan sa usual na daanan," said Inspector Acas Cadeliña, station commander of the Puerto police station. 

 

"Ang nangyari na collapse ang kanyang ina. So tinulungan pa muna nila bago naghingi ng police assistance. So nagka gap ng na ilang minuto," Cadeliña added.

 

Police have generated a sketch of one of the suspects.
