2 brutalized bodies found in Quezon province
Police are investigating the cruel deaths of two men whose bodies were found in Candelaria and Sariaya towns in Quezon province Thursday morning.
One of the victims sustained several stab wounds in different parts of the body while the second bore burns in the face, GMA News stringer Peewee Bacuño reported.
The first victim was found at San Pedro Subdivision in Barangay Malabanban Norte in Candelaria town.
He was clad in a violet t-shirt and blue shorts, and was described as 5'6" tall, between 25 to 30 years old, medium-built and fair-complexioned. He had multiple stab wounds on different parts of his body.
But the dried blood on his body indicated he had been killed several hours earlier.
Also, police found traces of blood that led to the riverbank about 100 meters from the site where the body was found.
There, they recovered one fan knife and a red headphone.
Meanwhile, the second fatality was found in Sitio Paraiso in Barangay Guis-Guis Talon in Sariaya.
A passerby saw the victim's body lying on the grassy portion near the Eco-Tourism Road.
The victim sustained burns on his face and other parts of his body, making it hard for authorities to identify him.
Police found identification papers with the name Estanislao Esguerra Umali, of Barangay 9 in Lucena City.
Police investigators theorized the victim was killed outside Sariaya due to the absence of blood at the crime scene.
