Recall proceedings against Bulacan Gov. Alvarado to resume
A recall petition against Bulacan Gov. Wilhelmino Sy-Alvarado can now move forward after the Supreme Court affirmed the sufficiency of the petition and dismissed a plea for a temporary restraining order.
According to a report on "24 Oras" on Sunday, election officers will resume verifying signatures on the petition after the Bulacan Regional Trial Court recalled its own TRO against the recall petition.
It has also ordered the election officers to explain why they should not be cited for disobeying the TRO released on March 11.
Alvarado insists, however, that the recall petition should be stopped because his right to due process had been violated.
