Davao City gang leader gunned down by motorcycle-riding men

Motorcycle-riding men gunned down on Tuesday the leader of a local gang in Davao City.

Raymund Rendal, 20, was killed on the spot following the shooting in Barangay Bago Oshiro, GMA Davao's Marlon Palma Gil reported Wednesday on GMA News TV's "Balita Pilipinas Ngayon."



The victim, who had been tagged as the leader of the Salto Gang, died from four gunshot wounds in the body.

"May tama siya sa ulo, sa kaliwang balikat at sa tiyan at sa likod," police scene of the crime operations investigator Senior Inspector Raleigh Herbert Ampuan said.

Rendal's uncle said the victim had just been watching a basketball game. He added he saw the two gunmen because they did not wear helmets.

For his part, Barangay Bago Oshiro captain Christopher Lapayag said they have yet to identify the gunmen.

"Napakaraming kalaban nito sa ibang mga barangay, so sana itigil nyo na sana yang mga ginagawa ninyo," he said.
