Suspected drug pusher gunned down in Davao City sting operation
A suspected drug pusher was gunned down after allegedly engaging police in a shootout during a sting operation in Davao City late last week.
Killed on the spot was Allan Saed, following the operation at Barangay 76-A in Davao City, GMA Davao's Donna Timbal-Senajon reported Monday on GMA News TV's "Balita Pilipinas Ngayon."
Saed, who hails from Cotabato City, died from three gunshot wounds in the head.
"Nag-resist siya ng arrest... Initially hindi niya pinapasok yung pulis eh. (And) bumunot ng baril so it's very unfortunate for him," said Davao City police chief Senior Superintendent Vicente Danao Jr.
"Sabi ko nga paulit-ulit, kapag bumunot ka ng baril dito sa Davao City, pag lumaban ka, patay ka talaga," he added.
Scene of the Crime Operations personnel found several sachets of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) from the area.
Police also recovered from the site a digital weighing scale and drug paraphernalia.
The suspect's landlady said she already warned him against engaging in illegal activities.
"Noong matagal na siya rito, marami na siyang bisita, mga unusual na mga tao na hindi namin kabisado. Wala sa listahan, siyempre may mga estudyante pa. Kaya pinaaalalahanan namin siya," she said. — Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
