Camarines Sur underground tank explosion injures gas station attendant
A station attendant was injured Sunday afternoon after a Pamplona, Camarines Sur gasoline station's underground fuel tank blew up, GMA News TV's "Balita Pilipinas Ngayon" reported.
"24 Oras Bikol", meanwhile, said injured attendant Jhon Chaves had second-degree burns.

According to Bureau of Fire Protection investigators, the explosion was caused by diesel fumes from a filler pipe connected to an underground tank that was then ignited by a spark from an electric pump.
"Palibhasa ang distance ng pump yung naka-suction malapit lang, parang mga 36 inches lang," explained OIC fire marshal SFO2 Ceasar Apolinario. "Kaya sabi nga namin huwag silang magsabi na kapag ang diesel sinindihan mo yun lang yung aapoy... may fumes yan. Kahit papaano may fumes yan."
