Stray bullet kills factory worker in Quezon

A stray bullet cut short the life of a factory worker in his house in Candelaria town in Quezon province late Wednesday night.

Domingo Bernardino, 28, died from a gunshot wound in the chest, GMA News correspondent Peewee Bacuño reported Thursday.

The incident occurred in the victim's house at Purok Mawala-Ala in Barangay Bukal Sur at about 11 p.m.

An initial investigation showed the victim was about to sleep inside their house with his live-in partner when he was hit by the stray bullet.

Local police are gathering leads on who was responsible for what seemed to be an indiscriminate firing incident, and the motive for doing so.  — Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
