Three strikes to head killed PLDT exec’s wife —autopsy report
Three strikes to the head with a blunt object caused the death of the wife of a Philippine Long Distance and Telephone Co. executive, GMA News "24 Oras" reported on Monday.
Authorities are reportedly looking into robbery as the possible motive behind the killing of Gloria Gonzales, 47. Her bag, wallet and cellphone are missing.
Gonzales was the wife of John Rey Gonzales, the vice president and head of corporate relations management at PLDT.
She was reportedly also engaged in selling jewelry, so it was possible that she had pieces with her at the commission of the crime, PNP Biñan investigation section chief Inspector Fernando Credo told GMA News.
She had been reported missing since June 25, Thursday.
Her remains were found inside a Toyota Innova in Biñan, Laguna on Sunday, after police were alerted about a vehicle that was starting to reek.
The vehicle was registered under the victim's husband.
Regional police in Southern Tagalog has formed a task force to investigate the killing.
The 24 Oras report said the victim was last seen alive at her house in Parañaque City on Thursday, 1:30 p.m.
Her cellphone was last detected an hour later in Silang, Cavite. -Rose-An Jessica Dioquino/NB, GMA News
