4 injured in landslide along Kennon Road in Baguio


(Updated 11:26 a.m.) Four people were injured after a major landslide hit a part of Kennon Road in Benguet on Monday morning, a police official said.

Chief Supt. Isagani Nerez, director of the Cordillera regional police, said four persons (two male and two female) who were in two vehicles at the time of the landslide were rushed to Baguio City General Hospital for treatment.

The said vehicles were a private white Toyota 4D van with plate number AAK-9898 and a public utility jeep with plate number AYK-824. Both vehicles were damaged, Nerez said.

The landslide occurred along Wabac, Kennon Road, Camp 7 in Baguio City, he added.

Road partially closed

The landslide forced the closure of a part of Kennon Road Monday morning, the Baguio City Disaster Office said. —Joel Locsin/KG, GMA News
