Tornado destroys four houses in Zamboanga del Sur

Four houses were destroyed when a tornado hit Bgy. White Beach in Pagadian City in Zamboanga del Sur, GMA News' Unang Balita reported Thursday.

Heavy rain also hit the area.

The roofs of houses by the seashore were carried away by strong winds.

The houses were mostly made of light materials, making them vulnerable to damage from the tornado.

No injuries were reported since residents were able to evacuate in time. —KG, GMA News
