16-year-old rape-slay victim found in Malvar, Batangas

The decomposing body of a female teenager was found recently at a remote area in Malvar, Batangas, a report on GMA News' Unang Balita said Monday.

Based on initial investigation, the victim was raped then choked to death, police said.

The victim's parents had their daughter's body buried immediately after undergoing autopsy.

According to the victim's father, he sent his daughter out on August 16 to place a bet in the small town lottery.

When she did not come home, her parents sought the help of the police.

Investigation is still ongoing to determine who is responsible for the crime. —KG, GMA News
