Electricity has yet to be restored in many parts of Ilocos Norte after Typhoon Ineng caused landslides and flooding in the province, a report on GMA News' Unang Balita said Tuesday.
Due to the brownout in the province, charging stations were set up in many areas.
Residents flocked to the charging stations to plug their chargers for their gadgets.
The brownout has already affected the livelihood of residents, among them Jomel Aspili, a teacher.
Aspili said he could not do his lesson plan and give an examination to his students.

In the municipality of Adams, uprooted trees and soil have blocked the road leading to the area.
Clearing operations have yet to start since floodwaters have yet to subside in some parts of the municipality.
The local government unit, meanwhile, offered free medical checkup to residents who are sick or have been affected by the typhoon.
GMA's Kapuso Foundation has already sent relief goods to the municipalities of Dingras and Solsona, where floodwaters still persist. —KG, GMA News
