Six dead in Davao City highway collision

Six people were killed after their car smashed into an approaching cement mixer truck along Maharlika Highway in Davao City on Saturday night.

 

Police Officer 3 Danny Nicor of the Davao City Police Office identified the fatalities as Jacinto Salera Yamomo, Presentation Pilapil Yamomo, Jeoffrey Pilapil Yamomo, Jovencia Parantar Pilapil, Fe Filapil and Victoria Pilapil Ogahayon.

 

The six fatalities were occupants of a Mitsubishi Adventure, with plate number LFN 205.

 

Nicor said that based on initial investigations, the car encroached the lane of the cement mixer truck causing the deadly collision.

 

The police officer said the six victims died on the spot.

 

The accident happened at around 9 p.m.

 

The truck's driver, Jaime Trazona, were brought to the city police's Station 6 for detention. —ALG, GMA News
