Market inspector caught on video hurting pregnant vendor

A market inspector was caught on video physically and verbally confronting a pregnant vendor who was allegedly selling her wares illegally in Minglanilla, Cebu.

The video has since gone viral over the past few days.

In the video shown by 24 Oras on Thursday, the inspector was seen pointing at the pregnant woman menacingly before grabbing her head and shaking it.

When the woman began hitting the inspector with a white umbrella stand, a man in an olive shirt stepped in to separate the two.

The inspector reportedly accosted the woman after she allegedly used hurtful words while disputing his claims that she was selling her wares on the street.

The woman claimed she was not selling anything and that her cart was only parked on the sidewalk. —Rie Takumi/NB, GMA News
