Lando batters Baguio City

Trees, power lines and walls were no match for Typhoon Lando's strong winds as it battered Baguio City.

 

The typhoon also brought continuous rains, triggering floods that partially submerged houses and buildings in City Camp Lagoon. Around 700 families were safely evacuated from their homes.

 

The police have begun clearing the roads of trees that toppled over.
