Report: Japanese maker of sex video released
Four Japanese nationals arrested for shooting a pornographic video in Cebu province were released from police custody Thursday night. However, radio station dzBB reported that the four, who were collared Wednesday evening in Lapu-Lapu City, now face blacklisting and deportation proceedings before the Immigration Bureau. The Lapu-Lapu police arrested three Japanese men and a Japanese woman filming a sex video at Supla Island near the birds' sanctuary at 5 p.m. Wednesday. The three men were initially identified as Yokomiso Masashi, 36; Takimoto Yoichiro, 40; and Izuno Ihirwaki, 24; and the woman as Miyawaki Yuki, 26. They were brought to the city police detention cell. Recovered from the four were two tapes and five video cameras and condoms used by the Japanese. A report from Sun.Star Cebu said the four face a fine of up to P12,000 and up to 12 years in jail for "immoral doctrines, obscene publications and exhibition, and indecent shows." It was not immediately clear if the four posted bail. Sulpa Islet, a few meters from the Olango Island bird sanctuary, is popular among tourists in search of a pristine beach. Initial investigation showed bird sanctuary park wardens Socrates Sagarino and Ruben Taneo were drawn to an unusual scene. The two, while doing their routine shore patrol, saw a Japanese couple having sex on the beach, while two other men filmed them. While the Department of Tourism considered the case isolated, an official said they still felt insulted because they had been promoting Cebu as a wholesome destination for tourists. "This is an isolated case and we want the full force of the law imposed against the suspects," said Undersecretary Phineas Alburo. Geronimo Rosas, Bureau of Immigration (BI) director for Central Visayas, said he will make sure the four are blacklisted, like other foreign nationals who have breached Philippine laws. Masashi, however, told reporters he and his girlfriend were just having sex. They had planned to roam the islets of Lapu-Lapu for 10 days, but also booked rooms at an uptown hotel in Cebu City. - GMANews.TV
