Aurora province still without electricity —local exec

Power supply in the whole province of Aurora has not yet been restored since it was cut off last Wednesday amid flash floods.

Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office's Roel Gonzales told "News TV Live" on Sunday that establishments and residential houses are using generator sets for their power supply.

Also, Gonzales said several charging stations have been set up for mobile phone users.

According to him, the road to Diguisit Resort in Baler town was closed after a bridge over Dikaloyungan River sustained damage due to floods.

Residents are temporarily using an unfinished bridge to traverse the river, he added.

Flash floods hit several areas in Aurora as Typhoon Nona ripped through Luzon early last week and left 35 people dead. It downgraded into a tropical depression and finally dissipated into a low-pressure area on Thursday. — LBG, GMA News
