Man accidentally shoots 12-yr-old son dead in Zamboanga del Sur

A man accidentally shot his 12-year-old son dead in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur.

A report on GMA News TV Live on Saturday identified the 12-year-old victim as El Porlonga Jr.

The report said that the boy was exiting their bedroom when he was accidentally shot by his father, El Porlonga Sr.

The boy died from a gunshot wound in the chest at the Jamelarin Hospital.

Police said Porlonga Sr. was cleaning his .45 pistol inside their home when it accidentally fired.

The boy's father has turned himself in to the authorities. — Rie Takumi/ALG, GMA News
