2 people killed in Abra road crash

Two people were killed after a tricycle rammed an owner-type jeepney in Abra on Tuesday.

Unang Balita reported that the jeepney was parked on the roadside in Bangued town when the tricycle with two men on board crashed into it.

GMA News stringer Argie Lorenzo identified the fatalities as Noel Sequerra, the tricycle driver, and Pepito Belmes.

Rescuers rushed the two to a nearby hospital but they succumb to their injuries while being treated.

An initial investigation showed that Seguerra was driving under the influence of liquor during the incident.

Authorities said the tricycle driver might have missed the parked jeepney due to intoxication. — LBG, GMA News
