The family of an alleged syndicate member who was killed during a shootout in Magalang, Pampanga claimed that the incident was a rubout.

In a report by GMA's Ivan Mayrina for “24 Oras” on Thursday, the live-in partner of Reynaldo Domingo Jr. said that he was just the driver of a rented van and not a member of the so-called Jimboy Santos Robbery Holdup Group.

"Wala po akong alam na lakad kundi yung may aarkila sa kanya," said Maritess Carreon.

Domingo died during a shootout between the syndicate group and members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Pampanga on Monday.

However, Carreon doubted the statement of the police that a shootout took place because she saw a video showing Domingo bloody and handcuffed with his hands raised as he was led to a police car.

Carreon said Domingo died after being shot in the chest and the temple.

"Nakita ko po doon eh, hinila siya sa ilalim ng sasakyan. Tapos, nakataas na yung dalawang kamay niya. Pagkataas ng kamay niya, naglalakad siya eh. Kung siya ay may tama, hindi na makakataas ng kamay yun eh. Kasi ang tama niya dito sa dibdib at saka sa sintido," Carreon said.

The family does not have a copy of the autopsy, which is set to be released next week.

On Carreon's claim, Senior Supt. Rodolfo Recomono, the Provincial Director of PNP Pampanga, said the doctors would be the experts to provide an explanation.

Carreon is also looking for the bag containing P200,000 cash, that they planned to lend out.

Recomon, however, said that the court that has jurisdiction over the personal belongings found in the crime scene.

"Yung mga ibang bagay na nakuha dun sa crime scene is relevant dun sa investigation that is being conducted, it will be the court who is going to decide to release this," Recomono said.
