Unidentified gunmen kill 2 couples in Iligan City

Unidentified gunmen killed two couples suspected of being involved in the illegal drugs trade in Iligan City on Tuesday night.

A report on Unang Balita identified the victims as Cesario Estrera and his wife Ellen and Rando Dawis and girlfriend Heromina Diator.

The report said the Estreras were shot dead by unidentified men inside their home in Barangay Suarez.

The gunmen, who escaped on a motorcycle, took the victims' bag containing cash and mobile phones.

Dawis and Diator, meanwhile, were also killed by motorcycle riders while waiting for a ride home in front of a bakery in Barangay Buru-un.

Both victims died from gunshot wounds in the head and body.

A plastic sachet of shabu was found by the police in the crime scene.

The Iligan City Police Station said the four slain victims were included in its drugs watchlist.

Investigations are ongoing on the separate killings. —ALG, GMA News
